The winner was owned by Mr J V Rank, trained by Fetherstonhaugh and ridden by J Moylan. A purse of £1000 allowed for the second to receive 50 sovereigns and the third 25 sovereigns. The winner won by 3 lengths, with 2 1/2 lengths between second and third.
